Our Beginning
Since 1987, Back to Basics Innovative Design has been serving Southern California, helping people make their bathrooms safer and easier to use.
When we started, we focused on bathroom safety, accessibility, and remodeling. But we faced one big challenge—how to securely install grab bars in fiberglass showers and tubs without damaging the walls.
To solve it, we teamed up with skilled mechanical and chemical engineers and created The Solid Mount®. From the very first idea to the final design, every detail—down to the materials we chose—was carefully planned to give you a strong, reliable, and safe solution you can trust.
